A few days ago, NYSE Euronext and Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) jointly launched three market indexes for solar energy, wind energy and smart energy technology. Each index is derived from the stock prices of 70 to 200 related companies in the global market and the relevant renewable energy market.

　　The data used in the Solar Energy Index covers crystalline silicon manufacturers, battery module manufacturers, project developers and installers. As the low-carbon industry continues to grow rapidly, this index can be used to guide or evaluate investment in the solar field.

"Behind these three indexes are our analysts’ in-depth research on the complex industrial chains of these industries over the years. Many investors have more or less understanding of the solar or wind power industries, but they have difficulty grasping these industries as a whole. The depth and breadth of the industry, from raw material production to component manufacturers, from assembly to finished product manufacturers, from project consulting to project developers. When we look at the overall perspective of the industry, the development trend of the industry will become more clear." Bloomberg New Energy Finance CEO Michael Liebreich (Michael Liebreich) said.

　　 NYSE Euronext and Bloomberg New Energy Finance jointly released regional energy indexes in November last year: NYSE-BNEF Asia Pacific Clean Energy Index, NYSE-BNEF Europe, Middle East and Africa Clean Energy Index, NYSE-BNEF Americas Clean Energy Index. The three indexes released by the two parties this time complement the regional energy index.
